Maritime Raid Force - 26th MEU

The 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU)'s Maritime Raid Force (MRF) carries out a maritime interdiction operation as part of a series exercises. The MRF is the MEU's interdiction force and is comprised of an assault / direct action element, typically drawn from the attached Force Recon Platoon, a headquarters element and a security element that may include snipers, the Amphibious attalion Recon Platoon and Marines with the Battalion Landing Team. The MRF gives the MEU the organic capability to carry out direct action operations against pirates and smugglers at sea and against their bases in land.
