Maritime Raid Force

Marines with the Force Recon Platoon, Amphibious Recon Platoon and the Battalion Landing Team with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU) Maritime Raid Force conduct urban assault training. The Maritime Raid Force is an MEU's organic counter-piracy force that is capable of conducting raids against shipping and targets on land. It consists of a Force Recon direct action element, Battalion Recon amphibious reconnaissance element and a security element along with Radio Reconnaissance Teams and intelligence specialists.
