During the CAPEX, Rangers, in conjunction with elements of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (The Night Stalkers) carried out a simulated direct action (DA) raid.
The 75th Ranger Regiment are a U.S. Army Special Operations unit that specializes in direct action raids, airfield seizures and personnel / sensitive equipment recovery.
Rangers also frequently operate as quick reaction forces for other SOF, including Tier One special mission units such as Delta Force.
