SWAT Teams

Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) teams from North Carolina converge on Fort Bragg for training. Teams include Army Special Reaction Teams (SRTs) and Police SWAT teams from Cumberland County Sherrif's Office. Both Military Police SRTs and Civilian SWAT operators are trained to deal with scenarios beyond the scope and ability of regular law enforcement units. In the event of a crisis situation at a military facility, it is possible that both the on-site SRT and outside civilian SWAT elements may be called in to resolve it.
