The 15th MEU's Force Recon Platoon (FRP) provides the Assault Element for the MRF.
The MRF may be called on to assault a pirate-held ship or carry out a direct action raid against a pirate base on land.
The Assault Element hits the target while Marines from the Battalion Landing Team provide security.
