The operator's M4a1 5.56mm x 45mm carbine is fitted with a AN/PEQ-15 Advanced Target Pointer / Illuminator / Aiming Laser, SU-231A/PEQ holographic sight, and flip-to-side (FTS) magnifier.
The 15th MEU is based at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California and is one of 7 MEUs fielded by the United States Marine Corps (USMC).
