The CCA is a fast boat deployed by Special Warfare Combatant-craft crewmen with Special Boat Teams 12 and 20 in the medium range maritime interdiction and special operations forces (SOF) insertion / extraction role. The craft is a relatively new addition to the Naval Special Warfare surface fleet, with its initial operating capability occuring in 2015.
