Special Warfare Combatant-craft crewman (SWCC) sailors with Special Boat Team Two Two (SBT-22) approach a narrow river beach during training aboard a Special Operations Craft-Riverine (SOC-R).
The SOC-R is 33-foot-long vessel designed for riverine operations.
It is crewed by 4 SWCCs and can carry up to 8 passengers and 700lbs of mission gear.
3 of the 4 SWCC crew operate the craft's impressive array of firepower which includes GAU-17/A miniguns, M2 heavy machine guns and M240 mediujm machine guns.
Special Boat Team 22 operates a fleet of SOC-Rs, the primary use of which is the insertion and extraction of special operations forces, typically U.S. Navy SEALs.
