Maritime Security Response Teams specialize in Maritime Counterterrorism and on standby to respond to terrorism or criminal acts againts maritime targets such as gas/oil platforms, shipping, passenger ferries and port facilities.
The Direct Action Section (DAS) of an MSRT are the tip of the MSRT spear, tasked with boarding and retaking a maritime objective.
MSRT DAS operators undergo extensive CQC training.
