A United States Coast Guard (USCG) Deployable Operations Group (DOG) Deployable Specialized Forces (DSF) operator undergoes marksmanship training during the Coast Guard’s Advanced Marksmanship Instructor Course (AMI).

The goal of the AMI is to train DSF operators to Marksmanship Unit Master Trainer standards so they may provide sustainment and proficiency training to others.

The AMI is taught at the Special Missions Training Center, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

The DSF are the Coast Guard's special forces.

Units include MSSTs, TACLETs and MSRTs.

The DSF operator shown here is wearing a Mich 2001 helmet, Peltor Comtac headset, Maritime Combat Integrated Releasable Armor System (CIRAS) plate carrier over dark blue nomex flight suit.

Standard primary weapon is the MK18 Carbine.

This DSF operator's MK18 is fitted with an EoTech 552 sight.
