Law Enforcement Detachments are a Coast Guard special operations unit.
They are elements of Tactical Law Enforcement Teams (TACLETs), which are themselves under the command of the Deployable Operations Group (DOG).
LEDETs typically deploy aboard naval vessels in order to carry out maritime security, law enforcement and interdiction operations.
A typical LEDET comprises 11 men.
