The Cutterboat - Over the Horizon is a 24 foot 9inches long rigid hull inflatable boat (RHIB) that is deployed from United States Coast Guard (USCG) cutters.
MSSTs use the CB-OTH to intercept fast, non-compliant vessels and for the rapid approach of maritime objectives.
The boat is based on the design of the Zodiac 733 I/O Interceptor and can reach speeds of 42+ kts.
It is powered by a single Yanmar 6LP STZP/STZP2 315 HP diesel engine with Mercruiser Bravo 1X Outdrive.
The CB-OTH features a 5086 marine grade aluminum hull fitted with an inflatable collar made from hypalon.
All walking surfaces are non-slip.
5 crew seats are fitted and there is a mount on the bow for a M240 machine gun (MSST and MSRT versions).
The boat's seats and and the M240 gunner position are linked in to a Integrated Crew Communications System (ICCS) intercom.
A folding antenna arch houses a VHF-FM antenna, 24 inch radar dome, GPS attenna, loudhailer speaker, blue strobe light, flood lights and navigation lights.
Navigation systems include a Furuno Scalable Integrated Navigation System (SINS) which includes a NavNet radar/chart plotter system, GP37 GPS/WAAS and RD30 digital depth display.
