R-1 Rescue All Terrain Transport (RATT)
The Rescue All Terrain Transport (RATT) is a light utility vehicle used by Air Force Special Tactics Squadrons in suppor//t of special operations.
Designed by Raceco, an off-road vehicle manufacturer, to AFSOC specifications, the RATT was first introduced in 1992.
AFSOC Pararescuemen use the RATT to transport and treat casualties. The RATT can be fitted with up to 6 litters for this purpose. Total capacity is 6 patients + 2 PJs per RATT.
Special Tactics Combat Controllers may also use the RATT to carry personnel and equipment during an airfield survey or seizure operation.
