M91A2 Sniper Rifle
The RAD M91A2 sniper rifle, manufactured by Redick Arms Development (RAD) to meet the US Navy's requirement for a long range bolt action sniper rifle for Naval Special Warfare units. It is used by regular SEAL teams and by DEVGRU (SEAL Team Six)
Like the Army's M24 SWS the M91A2 is based around the Remington model 700 (long action). The M91 was manufactured in 2 variants:
- M91 - a less common version in the teams, chambered in 7.62mmx51mm
- M91A2 - chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum (Win Mag)
M91A2 Features
The M91A2 has the following features:
- match-grade 416R Stainless-steel cut-rifled barrel with a recessed crown
- remington trigger with 3 lb pull
- 6 grooves, cut-rifled, 1 twist in 10 rifling
- stock in black, kevlar and fiberglass
- optional folding Harris Bi-pod
- typically fitted with Bausch & Lomb or Leupold 10x scopes
- the M91A2 has a 0.5 Minute Of Angle (MOA) accuracy
