Force Reconnaissance Platoon - 31st MEU

The Force Reconnaissance Platoon of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit's (31st MEU) Maritime Raid Force (MRF) take up security positions during a Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) exercise.
The Maritime Raid Force is a relatively new concept which creates a versatile raiding force for a given MEU.
Based a core assault element of the MEU's Force Recon Platoon, along with support from the Battalion Recon Platoon and other elements of Battalion Landing Team (BLT), Scout Snipers and other supporting elements.
The MRF can retake pirate-held ships, storm oil/gas platforms and attack targets on land.
