The MC-130J is the newest model of aircraft based on the C-130 Hercules air frame in use with Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) .
Operated by the 522 Special Operations Squadron out of Cannon AFB, New Mexico, the MC-130J is designed to deliver supplies, men and vehicles in support of special operations.
It can also refuel other aircraft, on the ground or in mid-air.
