Special Forces soldiers enter and clear a room during a CQB demonstration.
Green Berets train for CQB / urban operations on the Special Forces Advanced Urban Combat or SFAUC course.
The SFAUC is a 15-day training course, run by each Special Forces Group, that provides a 12-man Special Forces Operational Detachment (ODA) with the skills required to operate in a hostile urban environment.
By the end of SFAUC, an ODA will be able to take down single-entry-point, single-story, multi-room objectives.
The SFAUC syllabus includes room clearing, urban movement, rifle, pistol and shotgun training, explosive entry, repelling, fast-roping and climbing techniques.
