Navy SEALs drive Ground Mobility Vehicles (GMV) vehicles onto a field during a demonstration.
These GMVs are based on the M1165 ECV, an up-amored model of the M1113 HMMWV.
The GMV has that has been adapted for use by special operation forces.
The SEAL variant is known as the GMV-N (N for Navy).
SEALs have used such vehicles in Iraq during raids on urban targets.
The base model M1165 GMV does not come with armor, but is instead designed to accommodate various armor kits.
The M1165 features a shielded turret from where a gunner can man a belt-fed machine gun or 40mm grenade launcher.
M1165s can carry up to 8 passengers.
