A Marine with the Marine Special Operations Support Group (MSOSG) fires a M16A4 assault rifle during an enhanced marksmanship training package.
MSOSG Marines are enablers who support deployed Marine Special Operations Companies (MSOC) in communications, logistics, admin and other areas.
MSOG Marines do not go through the same training pipeline as the Critical Skills Operator (CSO) within the MSOCs.
They do, however, undergo their own special operations training course that prepares them for deployment with their assigned MSOC.
The MSOSG is part of Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC).
