A Critical Skills Operator (CSO) combat diver with the 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion (1 MSOB) advances towards the shoreline during a training exercise.

Since returning from operations in land-locked Afghanistan, Marine Special Operations Teams (MSOT) have been consolidating their maritime skill sets.
This has included training in combat diver operations, scout swimming and various maritime interdiction operations (MIO) such as Visit Board Search and Seizure (VBSS).
