Special Tactics Combat Controllers (CCTs) take wind speed measurements during an airfield survey while operating a Polaris All Terrain Vehice (ATV).
CCTs use both ATVs and motorbikes to move around.
ATVs can be fitted with radio equipment as well as a TCAN navigation beacon which incoming aircraft can home in on.
Both the ATV and motorbikes used by Special Tactics Teams can be air dropped by MC-130s.
