Jawbreaker
The first American Special Operations unit to enter Afghanistan was not military but civilian. Just 15 days after the September 11th attacks, a team, code named 'Jawbreaker',made up of CIA Special Activities Division (SAD) and Counter Terrorism Center (CTC) personnel inserted into the Panjshir Valley, north of Kabul. Jawbreaker preceded to link up with Northern Alliance commanders and prepare the way for the introduction of Army Special Forces into the region.

Task Force Dagger
One of the several Joint Special Operations Task Forces established for OEF was Joint Special Operations Task Force North, also known as Task Force Dagger.
