Special Ops Vehicles - MEDSOV (Medical Special Operations Vehicle)
DoD photo by: MICHAEL LEMKE, CIVILIAN
A Medical Special Operations Vehicle (MEDSOV) as operated by the 75th Rangers Regiment.
The MEDSOV, like it's SOV cousin, is a modified Land Rover Defender 110.
Unlike the SOV, the MEDSOV is unarmed, it's weapons mounts removed in favor of space for 6 litters (stretchers).
Its role is the evacuation of battlefield casualties.
A MEDSOV would typically be crewed by a driver, a TC (Truck Commander) and 2-3 Medics.
