Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen from Special Boat Team 12 (SBT-12) carry out an equipment check before starting a training mission at Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station.
Note the MK 16 Mod 0 SCAR-L carbines slung over the SWWC's shoulders.
The SCAR is a 5.56mmx45mm assault rifle / carbine that is a recent addition to the USSOCOM armory.
