Scenarios the team deals with include barricaded suspects, hostage taking and other high risk law enforcement operations.
The Atlantic City SWAT team currrently is comprised of 29 men.
4 members of the SWAT team deploy as 2 sniper/spotter pairs.
SWAT team members are Police Officers who have been with the department for at least 3 years and have passed a physical fitness exam.
Equipment employed by the Atlantic PD SWAT team includes a Lenco BearCat armored vehicle.
